Dr. Christine and Dr. Sam

Dr. Christine
Dr. Christine is a co-founder of Vulcan Psychology Group. She grew up in England and first worked in a children's refugee home in London. Here she saw how people with even significant challenges had a great potential for change. Wanting to learn more, she earned a Doctoral degree in Psychology from New York University.

She completed her residency at Queens Medical Center in Hawaii as an individual and group therapist for adults. Specialty areas included inpatient units, consultations with medical staff, assessments, and outpatient therapy. After her residency, Dr. Le worked with children in numerous settings including schools, homes, private practice and the community. She is trained in Lifespan Integration for trauma therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral interventions, and play therapy.
Dr. Le also studied at the Sorbonne in France, and is fluent in spoken French.​

Dr. Le’s work as a psychologist and author has been recognized by several awards, including the CARE Distinguished Service Award, and an Arts Council Literary Award. ​

In her latest book, Autism Rules: How To Thrive In A Neurodiverse World she shares her more than 20 years of experience working with people on the spectrum. The book reveals powerful strategies for navigating social information, strengthening relationships, developing your social radar, decoding autism traits, and celebrating autism.

Dr. Sam
Dr. Redden is a co-founder of Vulcan Psychology. She has worked with neurodiverse families for over 20 years. During her undergraduate degree, she found a passion in working with children with special needs and their families. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Stetson University. Subsequent training led her to get her Master's in Social Work from the University of Georgia. After working in the clinical and research fields for a few years, her passion for learning and helping children lead her to further her education.

Subsequently, Dr. Redden enrolled in the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she earned her Master’s and Doctorate degree in Developmental Psychology. She then spent two years in a Clinical Child psychology post-doctoral fellowship at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Center for Development and Learning. These educational opportunities have afforded Dr. Redden the opportunity to focus on early childhood development and developmental disabilities including assessment, therapeutic intervention, and school consultation practices for young children and their families. She began practicing in Birmingham as a psychologist in 2001.
Her practice focuses on young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Executive Functioning concerns, Disruptive behavior, Emotional Dysregulation, Neurodiversity and Impulse-Control problems.
